Boarding Services

Veterinarian Supervised Boarding

We offer several options for overnight boarding. Kitties have condos. Large and medium size dogs have 3‘ x 10‘ indoor runs, while smaller dogs have 3‘ x 4‘ large cages with a bed of their own. Sometimes, we can make sure that family pets can stay together. We supply everything that your pet may need including a blanket, food and of course treats! We recommend bringing your own food so your pet feels more comfortable, with less chance of an upset stomach. All animals are able to get outside twice a day for exercise and to use the restroom!

Our boarding facilities are adjacent to our hospital. This unique building set-up allows Dr. Hechko to become familiar with your pet while boarding. However, the hospitalized patients do not come in contact with your boarding pet at any time. It is important to note that there are separate ventilation systems and rooms designated to keep all of the animals safe. In addition, our trained animal caregivers are very attuned to each animal‘s specific needs including tender loving care. The boarding facility is just another example of why North Royalton Animal Hospital is a step ahead in caring for your pets.

Boarding Requirements:

Dogs: Must be current on their distemper, rabies, bordetella, canine flu vaccine, a negative fecal test (within one year), and flea control medication (must show proof of a veterinary licensed product use).

Felines: Must be current on FVRCP, Rabies,
a negative fecal test (within one year), flea control medication and has had a negative FIV/FELV test performed.

If your pet needs any of these services, Dr. Hechko can take care of them while your pet is staying with us. It is imperative that your pet be in compliance so that we can maintain a flea and internal parasite free facility. We want all the pets staying with us to stay as healthy as possible!  Do not forget, your pet can also have its nails trimmed and a bath before he leaves to go home.

Call today to set up a reservation. To facilitate the drop-off procedure, please download the form on the Appointments & Forms page. Fill it out and bring it in when you drop off your pet.  Pick-up and drop off times are throughout the day. They begin 1/2 hour after opening and end 1/2 hour prior to closing. Although there are no Sunday buisness hours for pick-up or delivery, our staff of caregivers are in the office taking care of the pets.
